Default Pre/post processing after ZenPatchlink??

I will try to explain this as clearly as I know how to. We have and use Zen Patchmanagement version 6.4.2. We still get numerous viruses/malware on the local machines. To try to stop this, we are purchasing a product from Persystent Technologies that takes a "snapshot" of the local workstation (similar to Deep Freeze) that any malware is gone upon reboot.
Persystent says patching/updates/antivirus updates will still work IF--
"I recommend that you find out from your zenworks support rep if it's possible to have your patch packages run a pre and post action. For example we have an executable, ptcupdate.exe, that exists on every client. This executable needs to be called at the beginning of the patch process and again after the patch is successfully installed. Ptcupdate will automatically capture the new patch into a new protected state in the cache."

So, how do I run a pre and post action in/through/around Zen Patchmanagement???
