Adding filters seems to make previous filters not work

Anyone know why this happens? I have DNA migrating *.pst files from
Office's default location, because a lot of my users have more than just
the current one they're using- many have backup and archives as well. It
was working fine until I added some new filters to try and get some more
data from other programs, now neither the pst filter nor the new filter
I added are seeming to work. Nothing fancy about either filter,
basically just grab X file type from Y folder. It's maddening.
