TED subscriber configuration

New to TED and ZfS 6.5. Trying to install a new TED subscriber to a server
in the same tree as the distributor. Other subcribers already exist.
Distributions to the "new" subscriber fail. Running "showvars" on "new"
subscriber reveals missing "DEST_VOLUME" and missing "DEST_VOLUME_SYS"
variables. Error message indicates this is indeed the problem. RW replicas
of [root] exist on both the distributor and subsciber servers. Any ideas
as to where to look for the problem and or any solutions. Much thanks for
