Re: Loss of application folder after distribution

use a folder object you typically don't want to overwrite but when custom
folders are used on the application object you do want to overwrite.
Unfortunately the default behavior that was chosen when this option was
added conflicts with how this worked in the past and as such it has
confused many admins using folder object. I have asked to change the
default for this option within the snapins as I think not overwriting the
folder (and wiping out others that share the same folder object) should be
the default. Not sure if this will be done at some point.

enabled could delete all other apps from the folder. Detecting the problem
distribution shouldn't be too difficult as that's the application that is
in the folder. The unfortunate thing is that to re-populate the folder
object you either need to fill the folder object manually or re-extract
the other app distributions.

Thanks Ron
The re-extract is what I was thinking after my last post because the
manual method is getting old! Thanks for confirming what I was thinking
but implementation in a public school system will be tricky! But that is
for me to solve. Thanks again.
