Yes, that is probably the case.
The "fix" would be to get your workstations into DNS with Foward and Reverse
Lookup.
However, If that is not going to happen for whatever reason, there is an
open Enhancement Request to let you set the "IP Address" as the default
which would for the most part resolve the issue as well.
You can try entering it at
http://support.novell.com/enhancement
This would simply add weight to the current request.
