AMD SB700 and no Harddrive
I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H board and SUSE can not see my hard drives (CD ROM is fine). The problem on my board seems to be related to the AMD SB700 Chipset not working with the ahci sata driver. I have found someone who got it working with linux distros that use 2.6.24 or higher but I have not found anyone who has it working with OpenSUSE. A work around seems to be to get a SATA PCI card and use that. I have tried everything I could find including KISO. I also tried some of the libata.force commands but I'm not sure they worked correctly. Here is what my boot.msg log says
ata1: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300)
ata1.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xec)
ata1.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0x4)
It tries again at 1.5 Gbps but that gives the same error
