We're expecting 1 to 2 inches of ice, to be topped with 2+ inches of
snow. We've already implemented the Storm Plan staffing here at work.
I'm considered non-essential staff (not dealing directly with patient or
payroll), so it is mostly "If you can get in safely, come in".

I'm pretty sure the local university will close, just because they are
already having trouble heating classroom buildings, and tomorrow won't
be any better. They need to be able to focus heating on the residence
halls until the temperatures come out of the cellar.

Tonight, we'll go home to eat the jalapeno & ginger pork stew in the
crockpot, snuggle with the cat (he gets very friendly when it gets cold
out!), and wait to see what happens.

So, if it is this cold and precipitous this early in the winter, what do
January & February hold for us?

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you
nothing. It was here first. ~Mark Twain
