Some - but not all - of my users have had a time saving any Excel or Word documents to the network lately. In mid Feb we migrated from 5.1 to 6.5sp6. In mid March we had to readdress our site. The only users affected seemed to be my power users.

For a couple of people I rolled them back to 4.91sp3 - that seems to have worked. For others it hasn't. All of the users run xp sp2, all patches and office 2003 with all patches.

My question. Now when they logon they point to the server name. Would things work better if I had them point to the IP instead?
