I have a brand new Linux 10.1 OES2 server on test with one brand new Windows XP SP3 workstation. I have configured OES2 DHCP and DNS and even Linux SLP but nothing that I can do makes the tree appear in the Tree Box on the eDIr tab.

The workstation logs in perfectly if you type all the info into the fields, using the server IP address or the server name, so something is working.

I have not configured contextless login.

The DHCP is setup with 3,6,15,78,79,85,86,87. The workstation is getting its IP address, domain and default gateway ok.

This reminds me of something that happened on Netware 5 years ago, but I have tried setting the bad server address and name caches to off and that makes no difference.
