Sorry, I now remember some of the problems with .NET.
The rdate and exdate are defined as RecurrenceDateType elements
RecurrenceDateType is defined as have a number of date elements.
..NET sends the elements as dateTime elements, so I don't find them.
I'm not sure what I can do about it.
You might try to find away to get .NET to send a date element.
I'll look into putting in a kludge to also handle dateTime elements.

Let me know if you find a way to send date elements.
