Over the last couple of years we've had garage sales and always end up with a small handful of items that I'd put on freecycle. I usually donate most items to a local charity.
I don't mind dropping the freecycle items off at someone's house or apartment if it's on my way to/from work. It's not a big deal.
This past week we listed a coffeemaker (free from Gevalia years ago) and a bread machine (for reasons I won't go into).

Now, I'm GIVING them something of value. I'm not selling it to them. In both cases I've had people respond asking me if I would DELIVER it to them, and they don't live anywhere near me NOR are they on my way to work. My listing made it clear where the item was located, so it's not as if it was a surprise that I'm not 'just down the road'.

One twit lives 1 1/2 hours away from me on the OPPOSITE side of the metro where I work and asked me to deliver it because he DOESN'T EVEN OWN A CAR!!!
