We've got a rather beefy BES server (up to the latest BES code) for GroupWise.

It's had this issue for some time, but I'm wondering if it's just us or this is a common thing.

Upon rebooting the BES server, or restarting the BES Services, it takes about an hour for it to start processing mail again.

About 330 users on the BES server, but it did this even when we had about 150 users.

RIM says it supports up to 500/server.

As to why we need to restart it, I guess there's some services (gwcheck or something like that) on the BES server that start hogging the CPU or memory or something for no apparent reason.

RIM hasn't been very helpful other than to send log files and they can't tell us why it happens.
