Anyone interested in beta testing some software?

I have two programs that I need to have installed in diverse machines.

One is encryption software to protect files of your PC.

The other is secure access software between any two Windows
servers/workstations. You can access one PC from another while neither
have valid IP addresses. You won't need to modify your firewall either.

Must have WinXP or Win2003 32bit OS, NTFS.

I think I can swing free copies of the encryption software after
release.

I'd love to test the secure access software, but I just don't have the
time anymore. Pout. : )

Hi,

You don't really need to spend any time with it testing. Just use it.
It is really stable here. I hate to put "Beta" in front of it. What I
am looking for is just more installations.

I can call you and step you through the install and talk about what it
can and can't do.

Okay, I'm sold. Send it to me, let me stumble around with it for a
couple of days, and see what I can figure out without help, at least if
there's any kind of help file in it. <G> Then we'll see if I need a
call or not. I'm not going to be home Saturday, and Sunday I'm
installing drip irrigation around the back deck. I live at GMT -7
hours, so what time would it be where you are around 6 pm my time? : )

Does anyone know the real story behind why "Greenwich Mean Time" was not
used on NetWare 5 and later, and where in the world "Universal Time
Coordinated" came from? It is definitely a term coined by committee or
some back-construction for what originally stood for "Uncle Timmy's Coffee".

I'll send you a link on Monday. Do you have two PCs? That is the most
effective way to use the product. If not you can connect to my web cam
via the software and watch me all day.

My call to you is free so don't worry about that. A five minute phone
call will solve two days of questions.

Thanks. I was looking for something more technically detailed and closer
to a primary source document for inclusion in a paper I will be
presenting to a group of academic types (who don't accept encyclopedia
entries as primary source documents), but I noticed that unlike most
Wikipedia entries, this one actually has a good source documents list
for things like ISO 8601. It's amazing how much urban legend and
nonsense that even supposedly intelligently skeptical smart people
believe about computers and the Internet.

Yes, I've got more than one PC, and I've also got a remote one. On
Monday I won't be available until after 6 pm my time again. And if you
think I'm posting my telephone number on the internet, you're crazy.

Hi,

Sorry I didn't get the link to you. My girlfriend had an operation
today that wasn't at the time they had originally schedualed. I will
send you something tomorrow.

You can bet if you like, but I think I will win. Most of what we do is
completely out of site for the user. We don't appear as a process in
the task manager etc.

send me an email - b s b a i x o @ <that google email site that starts
