Hi,

Does someone know where I can find Visio shapes and stencils for
Novell products, like NDS, GroupWise, ZENWorks?

Or some tutorial on how to create thenm yourself from ConsoleOne
icons.

Kind regards,

Arjan

Novell related material in that version.

Hmm. My copy (Visio 2003 SP2) has plenty of NDS shapes -- and even a
"portions copyright Novell" notice in the About dialog. Just selected
Network -> Novell Directory Services when creating a new drawing.

Did you install a fresh copy, or is it an upgrade of an earlier
version?

Installed fresh; I can't remember offhand if the SP2 was part of the
install media or through Office Update, though.

Same here... fresh Visio 2003 has NDS, GroupWise, etc. shapes. I think
you have to have the Novell client installed and you have to be logged
in for it to work. What I recall from that M$ knowledgebase article is
that it reads the schema to get all the shapes or something like that.

Nope, I've never had the Novell Client installed on this machine --
although I suppose it probably needs the client if it's going to
automatically generate any diagrams (ISTR it used to offer to do this?)

I don't have the NDS shapes either and there is no option under network
for NDS. Only Basic network (metric and US). This is the pro and not
the enterprise version of Visio if that makes a difference.

Mine claims to be Pro in the About box (it's whatever came in the MS
Partner Action Pack, all the other Office CDs are labelled Pro but I
can't find the Visio one -- erk!)

Just had a look in Setup and the Network bits appear to be an option --
don't know if they're included or not in a default install. They're
listed as Microsoft Office Visio -> Solutions ([US or Metric] units) ->
Network.

Actually mine is standard and not pro.

Get them here Novell Visio Stencils -GroupWise/Clustering/eDirectory | Novell User Communities (http://www.novell.com/communities/node/5784/novell-visio-stencils-groupwiseclusteringedirectory)

extracted ZIP files which have your vss and other files a folder either to c:\program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12 or desktop should work then from the SHAPES button in Visio Open Stencils and pick from your VSS files then you'll see your new stencils. Enjoy. Works on 2007.
