I dont know what to say. I guess I expected much more out of this. I
feel extremely deceived by the teasers and trailor. An extraordinary
amount of childish dialog and definitely not enough of robots. When the
robots were on the screen, it was fun. great cgi etc. But the movie much
to obnoxiously childish. They could've made the movie an hour less and
you wouldnt have missed anything. I really dont care about the love
interest as it never really mattered to the story at all. Very irrelevant.

Anyway, just needed to vent about a disappointing movie....

I saw a critic's review of the movie, and he said the same basic stuff...
wayyyyy to long, and all of the "too long" stuff was the dialogue.

This is the first peer review I've seen that pans it. Most of what I've
read has been very positive. Interesting.... :D

Thats what I figured. I *might* watch it when it comes to the 50cent theater
around here, otherwise it would be too much of a waste of money. The
Starscream robot alone killed it for me. Was his voice at least the same, &
did he still act like the only bipolar robot in existance in the
transformers world?

Follow up, my Boss and our Intern both saw it yesterday. Both said it
was good. Boss's wife like it too, but she said there was too much stuff
blowing up. :D

I went with a bunch of teenagers, and they all loved it. I thought it
was a children's movie (based on toys, right?), so I didn't expect much
plot. The boys all liked the main actor. He was in Holes, which they
also liked a lot, so they thought it was neat that he grew up. They
also seemed to be reasonably impressed by the girls, but I believe they
may have discussed that after I adjourned to my room.

Not seen it yet.

But I do not think I will be paying to sit in front of a 2 hour
advertisement for some toys and automobiles when the 2 min ones on the box
are bad enough.

I'm looking forward to the movie, I used to love watching the cartoon. I
remember actually having a Transformer as a kid but then I lost it. I
wound up getting it replaced by a Gobot, the poor man's Transformer.

I took my two boys (8 and 9) and their friend to is yesterday.
I thought it was great. Not an academy award winning movie. Simple,
effective plot. Great action. Shia Lebouf was good. Good hero movie.
