Cool. I'll get around to watching it all, probably. I thing this is
what Youtube was meant to be, instead of just uploading tv shows.

I agree, at least mostly. Youtube was meant for stuff like this along
with home videos of cats playing the piano. But definitely not meant for
uploading TV shows. Unfortunately there's always someone around to spoil
a good thing.

I use youtube almost exclusively for music videos. I never watched mtv
and the only time I watched music vids was when I was a bartender at
First Avenue.

Lately I've been visiting my hardcore music roots and pretty much
youtube had all those old vids.

Well if you want to watch music videos, everyone knows you don't watch
MTV. It's been years since MTV was just that: music television. For a
while MTV2 did that, but now even that doesn't show much music, either.

Huh, I didn't know you were in Minneapolis; my brother used to hang out
at First Avenue a *lot* when he was younger (and living in the area).

I remember when my cable first got mtv. I tuned to it and about 5
minutes later I turned it off.

I went there in 85/86. Had one *expensive* beer and left. I was dressed
in a flannel shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. Everyone was looking at me
and kept there distance.

We both would've been there at that time, but too young to go to First

I only ever made it into that part of town once or twice - the bar scene
was never my "thing", really - drove past it on the way to younger bro's
wedding dinner, little Irish pub across from the Target Center.
