I am not sure if that even if I send your way, it wouldn't run out somewhere over
the Atlantic. Best you create your own heatwave.

Please keep that weather out there, it was a nice 70F yesterday, and
got down into the mid 50's last night. I'd like to keep it that way.

Yep, east works for me too. I like it hot. It was 93F in my house last

My thermometer says 102 degrees, the official Renton temperature is 97, but then
again, it is down the hill by the water. Inside is a frigid 79. (Using all three
window air conditioners)

We had both today. Sweltering is an apt word. It's after 10PM and I have all the
AC units still going full blast plus two 20" box fans. My devious plan to avoid
heat was foiled by having electrical work done on the house today. The power was
up and down like a yoyo all day.

Truly. 80s here seems a lot warmer than it was in Chicago, and 70s is not
cold. Weird, though, 40s and 50s seem colder.

We've been in the 20% range the last couple of days - it's been
threatening rain - and actually, I got a few drops of rain on the
windshield on the way home last night. But otherwise, it's been pretty
miserable here the last couple of weeks.

Of course the air quality has been pretty awful as well - red air quality
days for the last few, probably again today. It's been particularly bad
for me because I can't take the medications I normally would to combat my
congestion, since that'll skew the results of my allergy tests tomorrow.

So I'm not a particularly happy camper right now...

No, definitely not. I'm so sick and tired of having congestion,
(sometimes fairly bad) nosebleeds and raw itchy eyes. Fortunately,
tomorrow I get tested, so hopefully there's a light at the "end of the

I seem to have had a rougher go of the allergy thing this year, but my situation
could be attributed to other issues. A lot of my issues cleared up when my doctor
put me on Naseral.

I'm kinda curious what it is that they end up using to treat me. Last
time I tried to get anything done about it, it was "here, try this mess
of different samples and see what works". In fairness, the last time
they didn't test, didn't do any diagnostic at all, just threw samples
from the golf buddies at it...

Actually, my office is in a bit of disarray still - we've nearly got the
floor down, but no trim or anything like that in yet, and no new desk yet.

I take the generic version of Claritin daily and my Naseral for the allergy
issues.

Oh, no, not really. There was a desk and such, but we stripped all the
paneling out and ripped up the carpet. Had to replace sheetrock to get
rid of black mold, too. We're in the middle of putting down a bamboo
floor, have painted the walls and put in new light fixtures. You
wouldn't even recognize it any more.

I need to take some new pictures, maybe tomorrow on my day off. :-)
