Hot on the heels that Indy dumped their F1 race, I find that Michigan
Speedway (in my back yard, or at least only a few miles away) is dumping
their Indy car race.

Soon, if I hope to keep doing my auto racing journalist hobby, I'll be
reporting on the local cruising up and down the "strip."

Maybe the local RC club. Those things go fast and are carbon fibre too.

I was a big NASCAR Fan, Have been to a few INDY races, And have driven in
SCCA at a lot of the big tracks.

But if you want to watch a real all out race it has to be American GP.
These guys were turning track times faster than the NASCAR guys at Charlotte
with a straw bail shacane in the middle of the track and then running the
road course inside the track.
