    Replace document from backup

Replacing any document in one of our libraries using "Replace document
from backup" feature as a librarian. GroupWise client crashes after
clicking on "Replace document from backup". Only thing different about
this library is on our remote branch office server. I can do this
function successfully on the other libraries. All GroupWise POA is ver
    6.5 SP1 and I am using GW client 6.5 SP4.

If you have any idea why we are experiencing this issue please let me
    know.

Is there any other methods to restore blob file or to read a blob file
    out side of the library?

    Thanks
    Naren

I'd definitely get the whole system up to SP4 or 5, how remote is remote ?

    Cheers Dave

Remote office is setup as VPN using ADSL. I made one of the local user as
librarian and tried replace document function, still failed.

    Thanks

Okay - let's see if it's just this "document" that might be causing it (you
didn't say if you had tried other options).

What happens if you do a File|New Document|From File and try to use this
BLOB that you restored as the file to make the "new" file from? Does it
crash too? What if you create a dummy new file, and try to use "replace
document from backup" with a different BLOB file?

Have you run GWCHECKS on the Library yet?

    Re: Replace document from backup

I am not able Replace any document in this one libray, but other
    libraries I can.
I can restore the file using File|New Document|From File , thanks for
    that tip.

I did run the GWCHECKS with only verify option, on the Library and no
    problems.

I really like to get the "Replace document from backup" working for this
library. Let me know anything else to try.

    Thanks

    Re: Replace document from backup

Try running the GWCheck standard library option and tick the top 4 boxes -
sounds like the library security has moved slightly sideways. Can you
restore a document you are the author of ?

    Cheers Dave

    Re: Replace document from backup

I tried replace a document that I am the author and still GW crached on
me. I will try running GWCheck tonight like you have suggested.

    Thanks
