Is there a way to stop e-mails being spoofed by using another e-mail
system to send e-mails appearing to be from a valid user. For instance
say I use kodak easy share software which asks for an e-mail address to
place in the from field. I then choose my e-mail address
jouten@tricountycc.edu and send it to myself at jouten@tricountycc.edu.
This e-mail does not originate from our groupwise system but will be
delivered by kodak to jouten@tricountycc.edu and will appear to be from
jouten@tricountycc.edu (e-mail spoofing). Someone could use this tactic
for social engineering attacks and other malicousness, is thre a way to
have groupwise deny e-mails sent from valid user accounts but not
originating from the groupwise server itself?
