The problem is that remote-located users using Outlook have a problem
sending eMail with attachments. The eMail does get sent, however
Outlook does not seem to get the right acknowledgment from the GroupWise
SMTP server that the task was completed.

I have done the following:

1. GroupWise 6.5.6 updates installed
2. NWSB SP5 installed
3. All the Microsoft Office updates installed
4. Outlook timeout set to 300 seconds

Has anyone else seen this behavior? If so, were you able to pin down
the root cause?
