Is there any way to prevent the Messenger login screen from displaying
the
Remember Password checkbox? We are using LDAP authentication to
eDirectory
with Messenger and we are adapting some other applications to do the
same,
which moves us toward a single-signon, eDirectory based
authentication.
That is good, but when the customer's eDirectory password is cached
somewhere on the workstation, that constitues a security risk to
multiple
systems. We need to disable that option. Also, when a password
change on
the eDirectory account is necessary, the cached password apparently
does
not get updated and the customer is locked out of his network account
by
the automated Messenger login. That is all we need, to have Messenger
be
responsible for more password suicides. Any help is appreciated.
