I've had the following problem since upgrading to Messenger 2.0. Occasionally (every 2-3 days) my server monitoring software (Nagios) will notify me that it has received a socket timeout accessing the HTTP and SMTP ports on my Messenger server. I can verify that this is happening because Apache stops responding on port 80, but I can still access the server via rconj and telnet. Unloading and reloading the Messenger agent unlocks the ports and things work correctly again for a while.

Has anyone else seen this problem, or have any recommendations?

Not sure if this is relevant or not, but Messenger Presence is enabled in my GroupWise system, and I also get the "2B3 SPL Request (Get
Other Status) [0XB106]: CN="senders user id" OU="senders OU" O="senders O"
- Host is unknown to system" error on my Messenger console as reported elsewhere in this forum.
