If you're willing to be a bit more 'down and dirty', 'tar' works
wonders. Of all my servers, Linux is by far the easiest to restore
in a disaster recovery situation.

On a file by file or incremential/differential basis, 'tar' isn't
quite as nice. However in my case, I don't store users' files and
data to NSS volumes (yet), so booting to a rescue CD, popping in the
last tar backup tape and 'untarring' the entire server is just what
the Dr. ordered.
