Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this.

It is clear from the OES Linux documentation that "When NSS is installed on an OES Linux server, the system-created users that must be able to access NSS data are automatically created as LUM-enabled eDirectory users and then removed from the local server." However, I've noticed that immediately after things like Apache fail to load, not surprisingly since wwwrun has been removed from the passwd file, etc. Sure, I can see them in my OU now, but it's like Apache and other services can't and don't run, e.g., wwwrun not found messages. As a work around, I've had to put them back (got "wise" and backed up passwd, shadow, and group before installing NSS and renamed them to original after) and everything appears to be working again.

This doesn't seem right and I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong and what I should be doing.

Thanks for your time and advice.
