We are evaluating Syncsort and Commvault to replace our existing Arcserve
setup. After initally choking on the price we have accepted that we will
be going with one of the two. Both companies quoted installation and
training at a substantial cost. Commvault was adament that we use this
even though I assured them that we had the technical expertise to do this
(especially with unlimited phone support). My question is, has anyone
installed either software themselves, if so how difficult was it and was
the support helpful.

I found it comical that the Commvault salesperson said it was so easy a
monkey could do it, and then said we should spend 5k to have them do it.

Any help is appreciated.
