I am attempting to migrate a large amount of data from a Netware 6.5
server with NSS volumes to a newly installed Suse server.

From the information contained in the following document, I am able to
synchronize to a directory under /home on the Suse server.

When attempting to synchronize to a directory on an NSS volume on the same
Suse server, I receive an error in the rsyncd.log stating that the
tranfer "failed: permission denied".

The document above outlines configuring permissions for the "users" group
on the destination folder. It appears that unix permissions on
directories under NSS can not be modified. If I make a change to user or
group ownership on the destination directory, the changes are
automatically rolled back.

Any assistance?
