I have repeatedly installed OES SP2 on a HP desktop with 1GB ram and
70GB SATA hard drive. The server is inserted into an existing test tree
with a NW 6.5 SP5 server.

I have followed the instruction for using EVMS on a single device.

When the NSS configuration runs, I receive the error:

NSS Admin install failed creating eDirectory objects

This is true whether I install nss during the initial server install or
wait to install it after the server is up and running.

If I look in eDirectory the user "servernameadmin" has been created.

Then when I create pools and volumes in iManager I get this error:

Invalid incarcination number

If I click ok, the volume or pool seems to be created and mounted as
desired. I created a volume while monitoring the /var/log/messages file
and saw the below messages pop up.

I followed TID 10099811 and here is what I get.

When I run "nssAdminInstall -u" the message "Upgrading NSSAdmin object
- No database found to upgrade" appears at the console.

When I run "nssAdminInstall -a -p -o" (with the required arguments) I
get "Error fffffda2 installing nssAdmin" at the console.

During both commands the following appeared in /var/log/messages

Jun 7 08:02:09 castor nssAdminInstall: nssAdminInstall error 49673

I'm at a loss here. I took the deploying OES class and was able to
create volumes on a single device without issue. Anyone have any
suggestions of what to try next.
