    Serving NSS over NFS & OES/Linux SP2?

    Hi!

Revisiting this question - what's the status on serving NSS via NFS to
Linux clients in OES on Linux SP2?

Last time I asked, it wasn't possible due to lack of trustees in the
NFS protocol. Still, a solution like the one in XNFS.NLM for NW6.5
seems far from impossible to me. Should be "Just a simple matter of
    programming!" :-)

    Regards,

It could be theoretically possible if you LUM-enable and grant trustee
rights to all the users that are necessary for back-and-forth transfer
and/or use the forcing mechanisms to force mounters to a particular
UID/GID. Outside of that it should be just like normal local file
access, and NSS will accept that.

    Haven't ever tried it though.
