Hello,

I need some advice,

We have a Netware tree. (6.5 and lower)
We want to create a new webserver for our students. They all must have a
public_html directory. This new webserver must be a Linux system.

Must we use OES or can we also use a SLES 9.1 server with E-Directory
installed. We want to create mappings from windows, so Samba must also
work. The way I see it.

Scenario 1 (OES)
New OES installation. Join our tree. We can make NCP mappings from our
windows clients. Apache webserver with public_html directories.

Scenario 2 (SLES with E-Dir)
New SLES installation. E-Directory installation. Join our tree. We can
make SMB (Samba) mappings from our windows clients. Apache webserver
with public_html directories.

Our main question is : In scenario 2, can we make a samba connection
with our SLES server, and the authentication must be to the E-DIR ? If
this is not possible, we must use OES.

Any advice ?

Greetings.
