I'm having a bit of a problem with our primary 6.5 SP3 server. After a
random number of days of uptime, it will give constant "cache memory
allocator out of available memory" errors until it has to be restarted.
Sometimes, it will actually abend the server. After a restart, I can check
the Health Monitor in NoRM and see the Available Logical Space values
continuously drop. We attempted to manually tune the server via the
instructions given in
https://secure-support.novell.com/do.../10096649.html
That procedure changed the "random number of days" to about 3. I'm
attaching the segstats.txt and config.txt in this message for reference. I
would attach the abend.log, but the last time it abended ("Multiple abends
are occurring. Processor halted."), it cleared the abend.log. This is a
Dell PowerEdge 4600 with 2 hyperthreading (I read somewhere that I should
turn that off??) Xeon processors and 4GB RAM. I can give whatever other
information is requested. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
