I have a 6.5sp6 with all of the latest patches applied. Problem
started about 6 months ago. Server would apend every 40-50 days, now
it apends almost daily. Configuration is Intel SE7501HG2 motherboard
with adaptec raid controller and 29160 card for HP Ultrium tape drive
and using backup exec for netware. Up until recently when the server
apended (there were always multiple apends) the first apend would be a
page fault in aacraid.ham - i.e EIP in AACRAID.HAM at code start
+0000ECB3h. The last entry in apend.log often was something with a
spinlock in loader.nlm. Wasn't too bad only once a month. Now it's
getting to be a pain. The previous raid controller was an adaptec
3210S with 8 disks in a raid 5 configuration. Since the first apend
was always in aacraid I checked up on this controller in the adaptec
support site. Last version of netware it was certified for was 6.0.
Did some research and found one that has been tested with 6.5 -
2230SLP. Ordered this last week and installed it last weekend. Made
the driver floppy from the disk that came with the card according to
adaptec instructions. Shutdown server, exchanged cards, plugged in
the cable, booted into raid controller setup. It saw the disks and
the configuration so I rebuilt the array. Booted into Novell and
followed the procedure to update Novell - removed Novell's aacraid.ham
and installed adaptec's version. Using BE for Netware version 9.2.
Server still abends in aacraid. Read that nwtape.cdm should not be
loaded - BE unloads it in any case. Commented it out in startup.ncf,
rebooted, backup still apended server. Back revved BE to version 9.1
which worked before upgrading to sp6 on netware. Still apends. Here
is the start of the first apend in the log:

As I stated earlier this was occurring only once a month or so but now
virtually every time I try a backup. Apends ALWAYS occur during
