I'm having an issue with rights mappings affecting my users publishing via

The sequence so far:
I have a number of users whom I have setup virtual directories for under
apache2 by creating files in here and accessing via http the user's website

However when they create the files via the NCP share the files are then
flagged as belonging to the eDirectory user with no group and the apache
process does not seem able to read them.

By chown-ing the the files and chmod-ing the files the files can then be
read by apache2 and published via http.

Is there any way to control who the NCP server creates the files in the
traditional linux filesystem as or control the mask that is applied to
prevent this happenning?

Is anyone else doing this?

Thanks for your help
