I was trying to setup an NFS server on an OES Linux SP1 box, and a SLES
9 SP2 box. Using rw,no_root_squash,sync options on server and client
when I mount the shares I get transfer rates of ~60 KB/s, but if I mount
a RHEL 4 server with same options, I get transfer rate of ~2 MB/s. This
is a huge difference. What am I doing wrong here? Any decent size file
is incredibly slow going to my SUSE boxes, but to the RHEL box they are
very fast. I'm goning to be moving several gigs to this NFS share and
I'm affaid that it'll take way too long at the ~60 KB/s speed. Any
ideas what could be causing this? Thanks.
