Hi. I got the following problem more and more (OES Linux SP2, well
patched by rug):
Users can't login from one minute to another. Already logged in users
can't access the NSS volumes.

i got the following errors in the ncp2nss.log:

[! 2007-03-15 14:04:37] IPCClient::Open connect failed rc=111
[! 2007-03-15 14:04:37] IPCServRequest open/send/received failed rc=111
[! 2007-03-15 14:04:37] ... ncp server ping FAILED rc=111
[! 2007-03-15 14:04:52] IPCClient::Open connect failed rc=111
[! 2007-03-15 14:04:52] IPCServRequest open/send/received failed rc=111
[! 2007-03-15 14:04:52] ... ncp server ping FAILED rc=111
...

at the same time the messages file logged this:

Mar 15 12:00:30 fs01 /usr/sbin/namcd[8261]: monitorChangesInLDAP:
ldap_result: Can't contact LDAP server
Mar 15 12:00:34 fs01 /usr/sbin/namcd[8261]: ldap_initconn: LDAP bind

Mar 15 12:00:38 fs01 /usr/sbin/namcd[8261]: Unknown error returned

I also have more and more of this lines:

Mar 15 14:55:40 fs01 kernel: Error -601 from ndp_NCPMapGUIDToUID.

i restarted the ndsd, then it works again.
But why does this happen? about 2 times a week....
