I've installed OES Eval using following hardware

Xeon 1.8
1GB RAM
LSI SATA-150-4 raid - 2 logical drives: 2x80GB in raid 1 (boot drive),

2x250Gb in raid1

I've noticed that when transfering data from a native linux partitionusing either ncp or cifs that speed is about 50% faster than
transfering
from an nss partition. I've added the free space from the boot drive
to
the same pool as the 2nd logical drive and created 2 nss volumes that
are
both overbooked to allow then to grow to max size of the pool. I did
in
fact read the docs that recommended setting write-thru cache on the
controller and that actually made virtually no difference whatsoever
in
the results. Anyone else noticing this?
