I have not been able to install LDAP server and eDirectory simultaneously
on a Linux OES server. When I install LDAP server (openldap2 package),
eDirectory is uninstalled. When I then install eDirectory, LDAP is
uninstalled. This appears to be from the file dependency conflicts that
you get notified of when installing LDAP, however you should be able to
run eDirectory and LDAP server at the same time on an OES server. Also,
we have LDAP servers running on NetWare servers on the same network. How
do you get eDirectory to use these LDAP servers instead, in order to
authenticate users for Samba and Linux User Management? If anyone has
run into these problems before or know where to point me, please respond.
