I have installed Open Enterprise Server on an HP Proliant with EVMS as the
volume manager. I have used Novell's documentation
to do this, and I am having a problem somewhere between step 12 and 14.

My /boot device is located at /dev/cciss/c0d0p1, and when i modify the boot
section of /etc/fstab (like step 12 says) to /dev/evms/cciss/c0d0p1, I get
an error on reboot saying "Failed to open the device
'/dev/evms/cciss/c0d0p1': No such file or directory.

I've tried creating a symbolic link in the /dev/evms directory, but it is
deleted after rebooting (most likely because of the "rm -rf" instruction in
step 14.

After doing some research, I discovered the evmsgui utility. Inside of this
application I can see the swap, sys_lx, and c0d0p1 partitions... System_lx
and swap are both active, and c0d0p1(/boot) is not. I am unable to manually
activate it, so I've come to a standstill.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get this problem resolved I
would greatly appreciate it.
