I am trying to install utilizing the EVMS so I can utilize NSS volumes on my OES SLES server.

I have the new SP1 and I am able to create the EVMS Container with the Swap and Root volumes contained in it. I also created the /boot partition according to the directions in Appendix A: of the OES Installation guide for Linux.

When I get into trouble is the post installation steps of modifying the /etc/fstab file with the location of my /boot partition.

Instructions tate to change the locattion from /dev/ to /dev/evms

My /boot partition was at:

when I changed it to:

The boot fails. I'm unable to mount /dev/evms/c0d0p1 due to it not being found in /etc/fstab. IF I change it back to /dev/ida/c0d0p1 I get a unable to mount /boot is busy. When I put it back to the /dev/ida/c0d0p1 and ctrl D to restart I'm able to boot successfully.

I did make the changes in Runlevel Editor to the boot.lvm and boot.md disable and boot.evms enable as well as the /etc/init.d/boot.evms script.

Am I missing something?
