Is there a way to lock the screen resolution? I have installed OES SP1
Linux onto a IBM x346 (using network distribution).

We run a KVM (Minicom uses phantom spectre II modules at the servers)
and SAX2 does not detect the monitor, if I plug monitor into the server
directly it detects it, configures everything fine and it works. I can
put the monitor back onto the KVM and it still works... until a restart
of X, then it reverts back 640x480 display in some virtualized screen mode.

Is there any way to tell it not to reprobe during restart, or even X
restart? We have no problem with our SLES9 server installed onto IBM
x345 on the same KVM.
