Hi,

i habe successfully configure a PDC/BDC Configuration with OES Samba and NUM.

But i try to make this more robust and would have a second LDAP Entry in
smb.conf for Failover Scenarios.

Plain Samba Soloutions did this:

passdb backend = ldapsam:"ldap://master.abmas.biz \
ldap://slave.abmas.biz"

so i think a can do this on OES too:

passdb backend = NDS_ldapsam:"ldaps://172.30.10.25:636
ldaps://172.30.10.23:636" smbpasswd

But this doesn't work.

When LDAP/Edirectory on Server 172.30.10.25 goes down, this happens (in
Logfile /var/log/samba/log.smbd) when a browse on a Domainmember (here:
WS-OP-II-A) is done:

[2006/11/30 11:11:01, 1] lib/smbldap.c:another_ldap_try(972)
Connection to LDAP server failed for the 15 try!
[2006/11/30 11:11:02, 0] lib/smbldap.c:smbldap_search_suffix(1267)
smbldap_search_suffix: Problem during the LDAP search: (unknown) (Time
limit exceeded)
[2006/11/30 11:11:02, 0] rpc_server/srv_netlog_nt.c:get_md4pw(242)
get_md4pw: Workstation WS-OP-II-A$: no account in domain

Any Hints?
