Hello,

We have a Netware 6.5 sp4 server that also runs the commercial version of Pervasive (v8.0) in a Development environment.
Upon boot, the server immediately suggests that we adjust the servers User Address Space using the "-u" startup command. I understand that this is a two vendor question ( part Novell and part Pervasive), so what we'd like to know is how to "tune" the Netware side as we also gather info from Pervasive.

The thought here is to allocate the majority of memory to Pervasive, while leaving RAM available for file caching ( for the Clients Pervasive startup configs).

It would be desirable to decrease the load time (currently 8 seconds) that the clients experience when they startup the application and it references the startup files. We've found that the startup time of 8 seconds decreases after the server has cached the files, It would be nice to be able to have the server "always cache" these files.

It would be desirable to "increase" the amount of time the startup files are kept in memory to reduce the startup delay of the client side application.

Any suggestions?
thanks in advance.
Brad
