This has probably been asked before, but I'll ask anyway. We have a
NetWare 6.5 Edir 873x IP network and it still is configured with login
scripts to map to home directories with "MAP ROOT X:=SERVER\VOLUME:\%
LOGIN_NAME", and if I remember right, this restricts the home directory
name length to 8 characters. We would like to break this 8 character
login name length matched to home directory name length limit. What is a
better way of mapping drives to break this 8 character limit? Is "%CN"
or "%HOME_DIRECTORY" better variables, and if so, any gotchas? And is
there a better syntax than the older "MAP ROOT X:=SERVER\VOLUME:\####",
especially for use in my soon to be clustered environment?
