Hello!

I had an issue where a MultiPath Support stopped working on a 6SP5 box.
i.e. I couldn't mount the volumes while both QL2300 cards were loaded.

HardWare:
HP ProLiant DL380 G3
Smart Array 5300 Controller (one logical volume to boot)
two Ql2300 Fibre cards (data volumes on Hitachi SAN, two cards for
failover)

I resolved this issue by installing the Media Manager patch:
http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...gi?2971030.htm

In any case... While I was investigating this issue, I noticed that some
people load their drivers like this:

blah
LOAD CPQSHD.CDM -NONHPSAN
LOAD SCSIHD.CDM AEN
blah
LOAD QL2300.HAM slot=1 ...
LOAD QL2300.HAM slot=2 ...
blah

I understand the AEN parameter:
http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?
10092358.htm

I couldn't find anything about the -NONHPSAN parameter other than
it "Stops CDM from binding to the devices managed by QL2300.HAM".
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/22411.html

Anyway... I'm only loading CPQSHD.CDM

My questions:
Should I be loading both with the parameters above?

Has anyone seen a doc or TID explaining why you might load both?

Thanks for your help!!!
....Joe
