Below is the login script all my users access when logging into their
workstations:
WRITE "Good %GREETING_TIME: %CN"
WRITE "The Time is %HOUR24: %MINUTE"
DOS SET MAPROOTOFF="1"
MAP F:= ATHENA\SYS:
MAP G:= ATHENA\COMMON:
MAP H:= ATHENA\USERS:%CN

I am using client 491.SP2 I went out on the floor and timed how long it
takes for the NETWARE LOGIN to come up after the machine boots up and
I am getting on some machines 60sec to almost over a minute delay
before the login screen comes up.

The workstations are all Dell Optiplex 270 or 280 running W2K or WXP
with 1GB RAM

Can you tell me what I can do to make this faster? Or what may be
causing it to come up so slow? My users are often calling because the
screen remains black for so long they think something is wrong with the
network.

I am currently using Novell Netware, V6.5 Support Pack 3 - CPR Release
Server Version 5.70.03. I dread going to a new support pack but if you
think thats the problem It will be done. Thank you!
