We have 7 novell servers running NW 6.5 sp 4 or 4a. I have an slpda
configured on one, with a scope of hcpsscope. All the rest of the
servers have their slp.cfg file pointing to my da. display slp services
on each server shows the same number of services and lists each server.
I had very little login issues until last Thursday. When users login
they get the error message cannot access tree. When clicking on the
advance tab, and clicking tree, the tree shows up. When clicking context
or server properties, they get the error message. Using the ip address
of the slpda server in the tree line and the ip address of their server
in the server line allows login. When I do a display slp services on
these computers I see:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

I am running a static scope. The last addr in has me a little confused.
That is the ip address of an apple os x 10.3 server that is serving home
directorys to my apple users. I started handing out options 78 and 79
via dhcp this morning. Most of the clients have the slp info statically
entered in the novell client properties. But it doesnt seem like they
are following what is there. Can anyone help with this problem?
