When upgrading hardware of our NW servers we use dsmaint. With dsmaint we
have always followed the rule of making the source and destination
server ‘the same’. The same version and patch level of Netware, same edir
version, same ip/server name etc.
The question is, can we break the rule?
If we have the same edir versions 184.108.40.206 on both servers, can we do a
dsmaint from a source server of NW6.0sp3 to a destination server
NW6.5sp3? At a minimum we would need to apply the Netware 6.5 licenses.
