To make a long story short, I'm a windows guy who took over a novell site
because the last guy was taken away in handcuffs and left nothing behind
in the way of documentation or media. I find myself in the position of
having to add new workstations to my novell network. I load the client
onto the workstation and it signs on to the server(s) just fine. My
problem is that depending on what kind of sign-on (Administrator or
Teacher/Student) the system is supposed to create the appropriate user
environment. I know this because this is what already occurs with my
existing workstations. How do I get it to do this? An example of the
problem I am running into is that when I log on as a student the system
lets me, but does not set up the complete environment that the student
needs. I'm sure I'm missing something. Now there is a program in my
network properties on the already working workstations called Novell
Workstation Manager. I "think" I found the program and loaded it, but I
get the result already described. What am I missing? Do I need to point
to a file or object somewhere? I would appreciate any advice offered.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I'm sure this is
fairly simple for someone who has had novell training. But,
unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity or the time in the short time
I've been with this system.
