I was thinking, for those times when I'm not onsite and wish to work with
software on CD-ROM, of creating a "CDCOPY" volume. I keep copies of all
installation CD's on one server, and could copy the contents of what I need
to this dummy volume and work with it that way.

I was thinking of doing this because I recall problems in the past with
too-long paths if, e.g., you try to install from SYS:\PATCHES\NETWARE\65\SP4
instead of from the root of a volume.

Is this a good/bad/unnecessary idea? Will Netware's Products CD and others
work this way?

Thanks much in advance.
