Since you want to keep everything the same and just replace the old
hardware with new, I would suggest to use Portlock Storage Manager. The
cost is low and what you would do is boot with the Portlock Boot CD on your
old hardware or install Storage Manager on the server. Then create an
image of all the server volumes and send the image file to an FTP Server
(great performance). Once done, Boot your new server using the portlock
boot cd, then restore the image of the old server from the FTP Server.
Then once done, reboot the new server, install the new drivers for your
hardware, and your up and running. Very straightforward and works great.
I've done this in my lab many times since my lab hardware isn't the same as
production hardware.
